My gourd art focuses primarily on vessels, contemporary pieces, and masks. I purchase gourds from local growers. I prefer to clean them myself and thereby preserve the mold patterns in the cleaning process. I cut and carve gourds rather than paint or wood-burn them. I use leather dyes primarily and natural accents such as pine needles and walnut shells.

As long as I can remember, I have had a passion for capturing nature through the lens and preserving the beautiful things I see around me on film. I am a hand-crafter. I produce items made from corks: Texas-shaped trivets, boot-shaped wall hangings, wreaths, Cristmas trees, ornaments and hat racks all with wine corks, I sew cotton wine gift bags, other gift bags and beaded wine charms and wine bottle toppers. Sometimes I am able to produce antique or vintage wine items in shadow boxes as I come across those items. I also do decorative plates on candle sticks.
